Overview of the Agriculture in Spain:

Agriculture is very significant contributor to the Spanish economy. Spain is a large country in terms of its area. It is the second country of the world situated at a higher altitude. The overall terrain of the Spain is rough and this is a major problem in the advancement of agricultural technology in Spain. The long term negligence of the authorities has resulted in the land erosion problem in plains of Castilla. The proportion of land used for agricultural needs in Spain is fairly low as compared to other countries of the region. The inadequate rainfall is also a major problem in the development of agriculture sector in the country.
